Ah Gong grew up in China and later moved to Taiwan before settling in Singapore. He was quite mischievous and clever. He told me he once climbed into his school at night to change a test answer to avoid punishment.

 

He had a strong sense of independence and curiosity, traits he carried throughout his life.
